Just a half-mile east of the city’s most famous gay nightclub, Emerald City, and a block off of downtown’s main east-west thoroughfare, U.S. 98, The Roundup bills itself Pensacola’s gay neighborhood bar. But although it draws plenty of older locals, including a good many bears, leather men, and other cruise-y sorts, it’s also very popular with the many tourists who come through the city all winter, and especially during the famed Pensacola Gay Memorial Day Weekend celebration each May.
