Why do there should be roles? Why can't things be versatile?
Thats form of stereotyping it.
Usually its just the fellow or women they love.
Wife or husband will be used if that couple is comfortable using it.
Thats why they are saying 'Partner'

please don't base your opinions from jerry springer. if a girl marries a girl, they’re both wives. and two men are both husbands.
In a gay male marriage, both men are husbands (no wife).. In a lesbian marriage, both women are wives (no husband)……
They propose to one another however they need to. It could differ from couple to couple.

Gay guys= two husbands lesbians= two wives. As to who proposes, it's the person who desires to get married essentially the most. It's so easy in the event you forget the concept that there needs to be a person and a lady in every relationship. Generally if people question me the question " Which of you is the guy" I remind them that if considered one of us were a guy we'd be a straight couple
That's a stereotype that not every gay couple abides by.
I mean, technically two males are both the husbands and two females are both the wives.
But in any gay relationship- married or not- there doesn't must be someone who’s more "feminine" and person who is more "masculine". There may be two masculine types, or two feminine types or whatever. Also, you should consider that there are those who are more androgynous, and those who can't really be categorized, or just don't like to be. And that's their prerogative.
