Chick-Fil-A Protest in West Palm Beach this Weekend

Chick-Fil-A Protest in West Palm Beach this WeekendSouth Floridians will demonstrate their disapproval of Chick-Fil-A’s anti-gay philosophy with signs, rainbow flags, and gobbling up meals from other fast food restaurants this Saturday outside the chicken restaurant in West Palm Beach.

“This might not change anything in the minds of this corporation, but as a gay male I feel it is hypocritical to push us aside but welcome our money! We cannot change you, just as we cannot change ourselves,” said Eric Harazi, the event’s organizer, in a statement.

According to a press release, Harazi was prompted into action by Chick-Fil-A’s recent decision to recall Muppets themed toys from their children’s meals one day after the Jim Henson Company issued a statement on their Facebook page in support of the LGBT community.

The peaceful protest is set to take place along the public sidewalk adjacent to the Chick-Fil-A located on Palm Beach Lakes Blvd in West Palm Beach. The protesters will gather this Saturday, July 28, 2012 at 1:00pm.

Let the organizers know you’re attending by confirming your participation on the event’s Facebook page.
