Santa Fe Museum Launches Yearlong “New World Cuisine” Exhibit

One of my favorite museums is really a collection of four separate institutions, the Museum of New Mexico, which comprises the Palace of the Governors/New Mexico State History Museum and the New Mexico Museum of Art near the Santa Fe’s historic Plaza, and the Museum of International Folk and Museum of Indian Arts & Culture a couple of miles away on Museum Hill. Among these several beloved cultural institutions, you’ll find incredible collections of art and historical documents that interpret Read more [...]

New Year’s in Key West

I had the good fortune to spend New Year’s in Key West last year, a particular festive and wild place to usher in the New Year, thanks to the increasingly famous “Drag Queen Drop”, during which the shapely drag queen Sushi is lowered from the balcony of Bourbon Street gay club inside a lovely, oversized red shoe to the delight of hundreds of onlookers. Anderson Cooper and Kathy Griffin have had plenty of fun describing it all during their New Year’s telecast on CNN….Read Full Post Read more [...]

I had the chance to stay at a couple of excellent, but very different, hotels here – here are my thoughts on each of the them, the posh boutique resort, Anticavilla Hotel & Spa, and the more affordable but still quite lovely Read more [...]

Affordable Gay Towns

North America’s most affordable small cities and resort towns for gay travelers, including beach getaways, small mountains, and other artsy, progressive vacation locales that won’t break your budget. Some of these communities offer especially good deals during the low-season, while others enjoy a lower cost of travel than other, fancier resorts in the same general region. These spots have low-priced B&Bs, reasonably priced dining and shopping, and a good mix of things to see and do.
