Bob Kecskemety, after a scare at Broward General, has recovered sufficiently so as to be moved to a hospice in Hollywood, but doctors have acknowledged there is nothing else they can do for his inoperable and spreading cancer, except make him as comfortable as possible. Friends are posting notes on Facebook which he is able to read and appreciate.
At the same time, SFGN wishes good health and recovery to long time Lazy Lakes resident and Log Cabin pioneer Joe McCallion, hospitalized with severe lung problems. A long time member of the MCC and American Veterans for Equal Rights, McCallion is also a former gay bar owner, and was one of the earliest gay rights advocates and activists in Broward County.
