Miami Beach has a pair of gay beaches, one of them a good-ways up north at 108th Street and Collins Avenue, called Haulover Beach, which is a haul from South Beach but popular because you’re allowed to tan in the buff here. The other, with a much more central location for South Beach visitors, is the 12th Street Beach, which is just off Ocean Drive, across the street from the Palace Bar and beyond the grassy landscaped area. Nudity is not permitted here, but that doesn’t stop the cruising.
